Everything’s Coming Up Lavender
This spring, stop and smell the lavender.
The Lavender Lane Farm in northeast Rome City is the perfect place to do it, offering relaxing tours of lavender fields beginning in spring and running through the summer. Guests can enjoy a free “walk and talk” where they’ll see lots of different lavender varieties and learn about how it grows. At the farm store, purchase your own lavender products, including lavender bundles, lavender oil, handmade eye pillows, soap, sachets and more.
The farm also offers demonstration tours where guests can learn how to cultivate their own lavender plant or how to cook with lavender. Usually, the spring season begins in early April, but be sure to call in advance before traveling long distances, as weather can affect the opening date.
