This Indiana Winery is the ‘Best’

Nestled in the rolling hills of southern Indiana, Best Vineyards Winery and Distillery began in 2000 as a simple idea to diversify the Best family’s recently purchased corn, wheat and soybean farm by growing table grapes. Wilbert Best and his sisters, Rachel and Beretta Best, discovered a listing for grapes as an alternative crop on Purdue University’s horticulture website and decided it was a perfect fit. Planting began in 2002, and after the first harvest, the siblings saved a few buckets of juice to try their hand at winemaking.

Seventeen years later, the farm is now an established vineyard, offering tours, tastings and a wide selection of award-winning wines and spirits. To learn more about the vineyard and their products, visit bestvineyardswinery.com or call 812-969-9463.
