Creating and decorating gingerbread houses is a beloved Christmastime activity. Everyone has a different approach: Some go for a sleek, elegant design, others go for simple and traditional, sticking strictly to a red and green color scheme. No matter the style, each gingerbread house is special, festive and inevitably unique.

The Festival of Gingerbread celebrates this beloved holiday tradition, featuring over 100 pieces of gingerbread art. Marvel at the creativity of over 100 pieces of gingerbread art as you peruse the creations of Fort Wayne community members, from the colorful houses made by pre-kindergarteners to the intricate, skilled gingerbread designs of more experienced crafters. Held at the History Center, visitors can also purchase gingerbread cookies, have fun with arts and crafts, and even visit with Santa.
