’Tis the season for sweets! DeBrand Fine Chocolates in Fort Wayne knows a thing or two about tasty confections, since founder Cathy Brand-Beere began working with chocolate at the age of 8. Her passion led her to open the first DeBrand chocolate shop in Fort Wayne in 1987.
Today, the company has three locations in Fort Wayne as well as a mail-order department that ships its gourmet goodies across the globe. They’re known for using fresh, high-quality ingredients to make their chocolates, along with made-from-scratch centers.
Some of the most popular products include DeBrand’s classic collection, featuring caramel variations and pure fruit creams encased in dark or milk chocolate, and its truffle collection, oversized chocolates stuffed with sweet fillings such as key lime pecan, macadamia hazelnut and peanut butter. The confectionery also carries seasonal items such as a wreath box for the holidays and fabric and chocolate heart boxes for Valentine’s Day.

Here I am again looking at those luscious chocolates. With February coming up, they would make a nice Valentine’s gift and I love chocolate.
