3. Metal skewers are more convenient; just make sure they fit on your grill so the lid can close if necessary. Double prong skewers work even better because they hold the food more securely and it can’t slide or turn around.

4. Grill woks and baskets: While not essential to summer grilling, they are convenient for big batches of cut vegetables. Use them just as you would the indoor wok or a skillet on the stovetop, stirring foods frequently while grilling.
